About Panna National Park

One of India's most remarkable conservation success stories is Panna National Park, which is tucked away in Madhya Pradesh's Vindhyan hills. Through one of the nation's most successful tiger reintroduction programs, Panna, which was once on the verge of losing its entire tiger population, has miraculously recovered and is now a thriving tiger reserve and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Unlike any other tiger reserve in Central India, Panna offers a distinctive terrain spanning over 1,600 square kilometers, including its buffer zones. The park's picturesque beauty is enhanced by the magnificent gorges, waterfalls, and verdant riverine woods created by the unspoiled Ken River.

Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears, Indian wolves, striped hyenas, gharials, mugger crocodiles, and a sizable population of deer and antelope species can all be found in Panna. With more than 250 kinds of birds identified in the area, the reserve is also a birdwatcher's paradise.

The chance to take boat and jeep safaris on the Ken River is one of Panna's main draws, giving guests a distinctive view of the park's breathtaking scenery and abundant species.
